Biography (Short): Prof. Jack W. Judy

Jack W. Judy is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. Before joining UCLA, he received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, CA (1996) and worked for Silicon Light Machines (an optical-MEMS startup company) in Sunnyvale, CA (1996-1997). He is well known for his research on the novel integration of magnetism and magnetic materials into silicon-based MEMS and ICs, as well as the development and application of both MEMS and IC technology for grand challenges in neuroscience and brain therapies.
