Judylab FAQ: Letters of Recommendation

Dear Student,

If you want me to write you a letter of recommendation I request the following:

You provide me with a resume or curriculum vitae.
You provide me with a copy (photocopy is ok) of your transcript.
You provide me with a brief self-assessment of your strengths and weaknesses.
You provide me with a description of an experience you had where your teamwork skills were used effectively.
You provide me with a copy (on-line is preferred but a hardcopy is fine) of any papers you have written as part of an engineering class project (no lab reports please).
If for graduate school, you need to provide me with a copy of your statement of purpose.
If for graduate school, you need to give me information on any obstacles that you had to overcome (e.g., economic, cultural, educational, or other disadvantages).
